Depth-Oriented Therapy for Lasting Change

Experience deep self-trust that leads to making healthy and fulfilling choices in your life and relationships.

Welcome, I'm Peyton Collum, LPC

I specialize in depth-oriented therapy combining IFS+EMDR to help adults who are struggling with trauma, difficult family dynamics growing up, attachment, and relationship issues to stop second guessing themselves and experience self-trust that leads to a more fulfilled and healthy life.

Through EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we gently rewire the patterns keeping you stuck. EMDR safely processes past trauma, while IFS helps you understand, connect with, and integrate your conflicting thoughts and emotions. This depth-oriented approach fosters deep self-trust, empowering you to have autonomy and freedom in your life.

I show up in the room differently because I prioritize deep internal work, connecting to myself in a securely attached way, trusting my clients nervous system to lead, while offering insight and organization when necessary.

The feedback I most often hear from clients who have been to therapy before is that they are now able to understand themselves in a way they haven't accessed previously in therapy and that they deeply enjoy this connection. I witness out of that joy and love for themselves they move towards choices in life that moves them out of old stuck patterns and into cultivating the relationships and life they've been desiring for themselves.

I believe that healing happens in the empathetic witness of another.

Three Approaches. One Coherent Path. Healing at a Manageable Pace

Internal Family Systems Therapy

Sometimes called "Parts Work," IFS is built on the idea that you're not one single self, but many parts, and each one showed up for a reason. Coping skills alone can feel like guesswork when you don't understand what's underneath them. IFS gets to the root, so what you're doing actually lands. If you're tired of feeling at war with yourself, this is where lasting peace begins.

Attachment Theory

Our earliest relationships shape how we see ourselves and the world. When caregivers carried their own stress or pain, it can leave lasting messages like I'm too much, I'm not enough, or I'm a burden. This work helps you trace those messages back to where they started, along with the parts you built to carry them. It also brings clarity to the patterns you keep finding yourself in, even the ones you've worked hard to break.

EMDR

EMDR helps your brain and body process experiences that still feel unresolved, so the past stops showing up uninvited in your present. It works with both the memories you consciously remember and the beliefs your body still holds about who you are. Over time, this lets you move forward without old protections in the driver's seat.
